Well school started, summer is done. Ugh, more cold weather coming. All the kids have started their classes and are doing well. I am always surprised at how fast they learn. Ellie is especially good at math and is picking up reading very quickly. Porter, as always, doesn't seem to have to learn, it just seeps into his brain by osmosis, or so it seems. Jesse also surprises me. He sees Ellie reading and so attempts it too with good effect. He is reading small words! Me and Ryan just celebrated our 10th anniversary and had a great time at the Melting Pot for a dinner without the kids! Our extracuricular activities have been mostly getting the basement finished and watching Porter play football. His team did really well this year. He liked it and never gave up, working really hard every practice. We are very proud of him. Now we have to get Ellie into dance or gymnastics. She is going to wear out the carpet in our house if we don't. Things are well here in the Neilsen household.

Ready for Anything

I am a little tired today. I have been sick and wanted someone to take care of me and yet I find that I am the one doing the taking care of part. We are going to Logan today to watch uncle Sean's game. We are hoping he does well (probably will). Well, life just flies by and my children are much older than I thought they were, yet there are time I find them reverting back to a younger age and doing things they already tried to get away with. For example, little beautiful blond haired Ellie today decided she wanted to try giving herself a cute haircut. Though this ended up being a disaster! I believe this is the 4th time she has done this. I thought she had learned that doing our own hair cuts is a very bad idea, we never look cute when we do this. I guess we will be waiting another few years to see if her hair will grow to her shoulders now.

Porter lost the Reflections contest today at his school . He was pretty unhappy about it. He had entered one of his Lego creations. It was pretty cool looking. He says he won't enter Reflections again. Hopefully he changes his mind.

Starting to Blog

Well, I wanted everyone to know what was going on with my family without having to call or write. So, here it goes. This week has been a slow one. We are still trying to finish up the condo and trying to get through school and having NO MONEY! Kids are healthy, and Ryan is getting better, so we are well. I have added some pictures from over the past 2-3 months for your enjoyment!
